This series explores structural relationships between spring, bamboo stick and hand-made paper. Spinning techniques are used to wrap the bamboo sticks with fibres, creating textures in shades of black.
The linear structures are both physical and abstract, distantly resonating with the ink and brush textures in oriental Shan Shui (mountain and water) painting.
